I have had the good fortune to enjoy a 4 month sponsored residency at the National Taiwan University of Arts. NTUA is an absolute gem! I’ve been researching traditional Chinese ink painting and Chinese calligraphy and am excited, with my passion for ink and paper, to see what these ancient brushwork practises can reveal. It’s been a hugely rewarding learning experience, and discovering some of the magic of Taipei life and Chinese culture have been icing on the cake.
